La nouvelle édition de Chimie analytique et équilibres ioniques traite de tous les grands types d'équilibres ioniques mis en jeu lors d'opérations analytiques qualitatives et quantitatives en solution aqueuse (équilibres acide-base, redox, de complexation et de précipitation). Mais l'analyse chimique en solution se pratique également en milieux non aqueux, c'est pourquoi l'ouvrage a été augmenté d'une sixième et nouvelle partie dans laquelle sont étudiés les phénomènes acide-base dans divers solvants (solvants moléculaires amphiprotoniques de haute constante diélectrique, acide acétique anhydre, solvants inertes...). L'ouvrage aborde également les grands principes de la composition des solutions, quelques aspects thermodynamiques fondamentaux et, enfin, le concept d'activité. Il est construit selon deux angles à vocation complémentaire : - une approche pédagogique : les équations mathématiques reliant les concentrations (activités) des différentes espèces participant aux équilibres sont systématiquement données et de nombreux exercices et problèmes avec leurs solutions sont proposés au fur et à mesure. Ils permettent d'appliquer immédiatement la stratégie évoquée. De plus, cette nouvelle édition de Chimie analytique et équilibres ioniques propose en appendices l'explicitation de certains calculs comme les index de titrage. - une approche pluridisciplinaire : de nombreuses applications sont présentées. Elles se situent dans le domaine de la chimie inorganique mais aussi, ce qui est plus original, dans ceux de la chimie organique, voire de la biochimie. Une large part est faite à l'explication des dosages de principes actifs médicamenteux. Par le nombre et la diversité des exemples présentés et commentés, cette deuxième édition de Chimie analytique et équilibres ioniques s'adresse à tous les praticiens de l'analyse chimique : techniciens et ingénieurs dans les domaines de l'agroalimentaire, de l'environnement, de la répression des fraudes, de la toxicologie analytique, de la pharmacie. Elle s'adresse également aux pharmaciens des hôpitaux, et aux médecins et pharmaciens biologistes. Par sa démarche pédagogique et l'approche des calculs qui est développée, l'ouvrage est également destiné aux étudiants de chimie de tous les niveaux universitaires ainsi qu'à ceux préparant les grandes écoles scientifiques.

The treatment has been streamlined by placing some background material in appendices.
