This book will look at the entire career of the French brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, widely regarded as two of the most exciting young European designers to have emerged in the last twenty years. The book will feature all of their work to date, a collection which includes commissions for Vitra, Alessi, adn Cappellini amongst others and will open with an introduction by Anniina Koivu, editor of Abitare magazine. There will be ten themed chapters, each exploring a different aspect of the Bourourllecs' career, an illustrated catalogue detailing all their designs and interviews with key figures and collaborators discussing their work.

Kvadrat, de toonaangevende textielproducent uit Denemarken, is al ruim 40 jaar als Scandinavische pionier aanwezig in woningen, in kantoren, in concertzalen; hun weefsels zijn overal ter wereld essentieel onderdeel van verfijnde en originele interieurarchitactuur. Van de klassieke ontwerpen uit de jaren '60 en '70 tot de hoogtechnologische, ecologisch geproduceerde weefsels van vandaag: Kvadrat heeft steeds gewerkt met prominente ontwerpers en kunstenaars uit de 20e en 21e eeuw; onder hen Nanna Ditzel, Verner Panton, David Adjaye, Patricia Urquiola, Roman Signer, Thomas Demand, Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec.Dit werd een erg mooi boek, ontworpen door Graphic Thought Facility; het brengt gepaste hulde aan de mooie textilia van Kvadrat [ook de cover werd bekleed met weefsel, prototype van een speciaal voor dit boek gecreëerde wollen stof] en weeft voor ons de verbinding tussen de ruwe kusten van Denemarken waar Kvadrat ooit ontstond en nog steeds is ingebed en de kudde grijze, Ijslandse schapen die door kunstenaar Olafur Eliasson worden gekweekt.met bijdragen door Tord Boontje, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Thomas Demand, Olafur Eliasson, Graphic Thought Facility, Denise Hagströmer, Hettie Judah, Doshi Levien, Sevil Peach, Matthew Price, Zoë Ryan, Peter Saville, Joel Tettamanti, Rosemarie Trockel, Jane Withers, Raw-Edges Design Studio, Patricia Urquiola
