The current revolution in health care profoundly affects nurses in academic and clinical practice settings. It is a challenge that entails commitment to excellence in the educational preparation and professional performance of nurses. In response to these demands, the sixth edition of the Textbook of Medical-Surgical Nursing is designed to provide the sound scientific rationale and broad clinical knowledge base that nursing students and practitioners will need.
