Fernando Tavora Permanent Modernity is the title of a project inserted in Guimarães 2012 European Capital of Culture, which brings together an exhibition of the same name, conferences and publications. The exhibition is about the work of Fernando Tavora (1923-2005), but far from the ambition to be monographic or anthology, but it plans to offer a transversal reading of insistent about this work is the practice of teaching as Professor of Architecture . It is a set of documents, now belonging to the scope of the design and photography of Architecture, now the scope of existing records documentary about their classes, conferences, study trips. The ultimate goal aims include documentation selected a whole whose coherence is readable in a way as natural as it was harvested throughout life. This volume is the catalog of the exhibition and includes a set of texts of authors who are also present at conferences, offers, on the one hand, a critical, comprehensive and diverse the work of Fernando Tavora and, second, the strict reading of records the same work in different historical contexts, marked by his activity as professor of architecture.
