Abstract

The present paper is orientated in the music written and edited for Clarinet during the 20th century. To include the above mentioned century we have centred on such figures as: Igor Stravinsky (1882-1971), Aaron Copland (1900-1990), Pierre Boulez (1925-2016) and Jörg Widmann (º1973).The idea of choosing this kind of repertoire come from the motivation for investigating in the History of the Music of the 20th century and contributing even more information of the way of composing that was prevailing in this epoch, and about the composers and works emphasized during the above mentioned period. As for the clarinetistic facets, it turns out to be very significant the accomplishment of this work to learn brings over of the different effects that can produce to him in the clarinet, and of the different fingerings, harmonics, multiphonics, etc, that we can find in the scores written during this century. In addition, it is interesting to go deeply into the diffusion of a style of music that, still a today, neither is sufficiently valued for any artistic circles, is not even known by the great public.
