In this thesis, the feasibility of the application of district heating networks using thermochemical fluids in Belgium is investigated. Both the demand and supply side of thermochemical district heating networks are discussed. The demand side is explored by calculating the heat that the thermochemical network could provide for a fictional residency and comparing the results to the heat demand of residencies in Belgium. The supply side is analysed by performing a case study of a copper factory in Olen, Belgium to calculate how much residual heat could be harvested for use in the thermochemical network.
