Using German political parties as a prism with which to view institutional change, this collection transcends a single country focus and places the German experience in a comparative and historical framework. Différents écrits adressés à des Princes font l'objet de ces essais, mais ce qui les unit n'est pas tant la nature royale de ces destinataires que la volonté d'accorder un intérêt sincère à des écrits trop longtemps écartés parce que soupçonnés d'hypocrisie.
