The urgent theoretical, methodological, as well as ideological, issues of further development of Ukrainian system of national security in a situation of foreign aggression and territorial losses caused by it are defined. The special attention is paid to: description of the international, security, socio-psychological aspects of the historical situation modern Ukraine occurred to be; elaboration of the methodology based on «international systems» theoretical approach and aimed at analyzes of the problems of national and international security in a post-bipolar world; theoretical interpretation of the key issues of world politics - correlation of war and peace in this politics, building of the alliances of «strategic partnership», future of integration at the European and peace at the post-soviet geopolitical realms. Three-stage theoretical model of the system of national security of Ukraine is worked out. - It is designed for a wide audience.

Political-theoretical, geopolitical, cultural-historical and foreign policy aspects of the armed conflict in Donbass are considered. In terms of the theory of realism, the specifics of international relations in the post-imperial political space are interpreted. Prognostic scenarios for further evolution of the conflict situation at the bilateral, regional and global levels are proposed. The sources of modern Russia's foreign policy behavior towards Ukraine and other post-Soviet states have been identified and interpreted. Based on the experience of the conflict in Donbas, the strategy and tactics for counteracting external aggression have been determined. Designed for a wide range of readers.
