"This textbook introduces the Orange software and its use in solving practical examples. The text is intended especially for students of the Data Mining course in the Master's programme in Geoinformatics and Cartography. The text can also be used by geoscience practitioners who wish to acquire basic practical skills in Data Mining and Orange software. The text complements the theoretical lectures of the course and is directed as a practical tutorial to illustrate the theory through examples. Only at the beginning of some chapters a brief theoretical introduction and references to literature are given, which can be used as a starting point for further study. The textbook can also be used for self-study."-- Provided by publisher.

The anthology Theoretical applications in art science demonstrates, presents and problematizes the application of semiotic theory to art science study objects. The central ambition is to discuss and exemplify the specific questions and problems that semiotics' encounter with objects of study in art studies gives rise to. These include questions about visual communication and visual codes, materiality and mediality as well as in other contexts overlooked aspects of the sign, as well as the historicity of the sign and thus the interpretation. The anthology's six chapters include studies of contemporary fashion photography and sculpture, pre- and post-industrial furniture, 17th- and 19th-century oil painting, and 19th-century press images.
