Books on research are, as a rule, statements of general formalized principles and reflect only in an idealized way the actual day by day practice of research. They present the detached view of science and little if any of the fun and frustration. In this book, I am going to try to present some of both the formal principles of scientific method (particularly as they may relate to psychology), as well as something of the underlying daily enjoyment of research. I can't hope to cover all the facets of science and of the scientific method in so brief a compass but this is, after all, an introduction. If I can share a few ideas about research, dispel a few misconceptions about the tedium of research, and interest some students in looking into the matter further, I'll be more than content.
Psychology --- Research.
