Environmental challenges posed by wrong end of lifeplastic management drive the plastics recycling schemes for energy recovery and cutting emissions, penalties, energy consumption, non-renewable resources, and manufacturing costs. Plastic recycling has the lowest environmental impact on global warming potential and total energy use. However, under-utilised plastic wastes due to low value issues with sorting/contamination pose major challenges. Novel technologies drive innovation in a circular economy model for plastics and employ reuse, recycling and responsible manufacture solutions, support the development of new industries and jobs, reduce emissions and increase efficient use of natural resources (including energy, water and materials). Many economies are working towards achieving a zero plastic waste economy. This Special Issue covers the applications of recycled plastics in the areas of energy recovery/alternative fuels, economic analyses, bitumen additives, flame retardants, recycled polymer nanocomposites to enhance the mechanical property, thermomechanical recycling to improve physical properties, mechano-chemical treatment, cryogenic waste tyre recycling, application in decarbonizing technology, e.g., cement industry, waste characterization, improving agricultural soil quality, as smart fertilizers. The Editors express their appreciation to all the contributors across the world in the development of this reprint. This reprint gives different perspectives and technical ideas for the transformation of plastic wastes into value-added products and to achieve higher recycling rates in the coming years.

De Muntschouwburg werd in 1700 gebouwd, en ontpopte zich vanaf het begin als een belangrijk centrum voor het muziek- en theaterwezen in België. Al drie eeuwen lang wordt hier gestreefd naar vernieuwing en kwaliteit. Opera tot theater maken presenteert het werk dat in de Munt geleverd is sedert de komst van Gerard Mortier in 1981. Doorheen speciaal geschreven teksten en een selectie uit de beste foto's van schouwspelen die in de voorbije vijf jaar vertoond zijn, vertelt het boek over het streven dat hier gestalte krijgt. Maar er is geen kunst zonder traditie. Daarom is het ook nuttig, te laten inzien hoezeer het maken van opera hier en nu een inspanning is die wortelt in sommige periodes uit het verleden van de Munt. Opera tot theater maken biedt een verzameling van tekeningen, oude en recente foto's, nooit eerder gepubliceerde documenten, velerlei kritische anekdotes, beschouwingen en overwegingen van nu en van toen, om voor u de zoektocht van een team te schetsen: waar zij vandaan komen, en waar zij verder naar streven.

La dramathérapie, ou thérapie par le théâtre, est une pratique émergente qui puise ses sources dans l'art, dans la psychanalyse et dans la psychologie anglo-américaine. Par la catharsis, la fiction, le dédoublement, la théâtralité, des patients peuvent trouver le moyen de se dire et de dépasser leurs souffrances. Certaines formes privilégiées par les dramathérapeutes sont particulièrement étudiées dans cet ouvrage : l'improvisation, la marionnette, la commedia dell'arte, le conte, l'écriture théâtrale, la gestualité non verbale, le masque, le psychodrame, la théâtralisation des rêves ou des souvenirs... Cette pratique ne va pas sans contre-indications. C'est pourquoi Jean-Pierre Klein met notamment en garde contre certains pièges à éviter.

Un universitaire historien du théâtre, et un homme de théâtre, acteur et metteur en scène… Et voici qu’ils vont ensemble et comme si c’était symétriquement, chacun à sa manière, chacun, comme on dit, depuis sa pratique, tenter, par ce livre, d’ouvrir une petite fenêtre de la maison «théâtre», tenter d’aider à penser cette «chose» : le théâtre. Soit. Mais, disons-le d’emblée, tous les dés sont pipés. Doublement. D’abord parce que si, dans un livre, l’universitaire est chez lui, c’est, l’homme de théâtre, sur la scène qu’il devrait « parler ». C’est la scène qui lui est un livre. Non que les descriptions, les commentaires, les analyses lui soient, à l’homme de théâtre, étrangers. Ils sont, au contraire, son pain quotidien. Mais s’il décrit, commente et analyse, c’est, lui, vers la scène à partir d’une écriture dans un livre, et non depuis ce que serait la scène vers l’écriture d’un livre. Et, pire : la scène, pour lui, est précisément ce qu’aucune parole, aucune écriture, à elle seule, jamais ne saurait dire. L’homme de théâtre ne sait sans doute pas déployer, comme l’historien, un texte de savoir sur le théâtre, mais il est une chose que lui, d’avoir expérimenté le «théâtre», sait, et que l’historien, de ne pas l’avoir expérimenté, ne «sait» pas, c’est que ce n’est tout simplement pas possible. (…) Les dés sont pipés, encore, parce que s’il existe, s’il doit exister, chez l’historien universitaire, un désir d’objectivité, le désir, au moins, de se tenir à distance égale de toutes les formes et pensées de théâtre possibles, il ne saurait en être de même chez l’artiste. (…) Vous l’avez compris, l’homme de théâtre, faisant une entorse à la tradition de cette célèbre collection, ne tentera donc pas de délivrer ici quelque savoir direct sur le théâtre, contrairement à l’historien. Il se contentera de se faufiler entre ses lignes sérieuses, de s’y enrouler, ou d’y picorer de-ci de-là, d’y prélever au gré de l’humeur, un mot, une idée, qu’il laissera travailler, ou jouer, dans l’espoir, sans doute, qu’il en dira plus par ce qu’il taira, ou ne pourra pas dire, que par ce qu’il dira. De simples notes en bas de page… Des clins de texte… Et ce sera sans doute l’impossibilité fondamentale d’écrire d’une même main, malgré le respect et l’admiration réciproque ! le texte de l’universitaire spécialiste de l’art du théâtre et celui de l’artiste de théâtre, oui, ce sera sans doute cette impossibilité même, leur «désaccord en accord», qui dévoilera davantage une «essence» s’il en est, et quelle qu’elle soit, du théâtre, que tout ce que l’un ou l’autre pourrait chacun en écrire.

Environmental challenges posed by wrong end of lifeplastic management drive the plastics recycling schemes for energy recovery and cutting emissions, penalties, energy consumption, non-renewable resources, and manufacturing costs. Plastic recycling has the lowest environmental impact on global warming potential and total energy use. However, under-utilised plastic wastes due to low value issues with sorting/contamination pose major challenges. Novel technologies drive innovation in a circular economy model for plastics and employ reuse, recycling and responsible manufacture solutions, support the development of new industries and jobs, reduce emissions and increase efficient use of natural resources (including energy, water and materials). Many economies are working towards achieving a zero plastic waste economy. This Special Issue covers the applications of recycled plastics in the areas of energy recovery/alternative fuels, economic analyses, bitumen additives, flame retardants, recycled polymer nanocomposites to enhance the mechanical property, thermomechanical recycling to improve physical properties, mechano-chemical treatment, cryogenic waste tyre recycling, application in decarbonizing technology, e.g., cement industry, waste characterization, improving agricultural soil quality, as smart fertilizers. The Editors express their appreciation to all the contributors across the world in the development of this reprint. This reprint gives different perspectives and technical ideas for the transformation of plastic wastes into value-added products and to achieve higher recycling rates in the coming years.
