This amendment to IEEE Std 1900.6-2011 adds procedures, protocols, and message format specifications for the exchange of sensing related data, control data, and configuration data between spectrum sensors and spectrum databases. In addition, it adds specifications for the exchange of sensing related data between the data archive and spectrum databases, and the cognitive engine and spectrum databases.

"More than 40 years after the official recognition of infantile autism in DSM-III, advances continue to be made in our understanding of the possible causes, assessment and evaluation, and treatment of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). With contributions by dozens of experts in the field, this second edition of the Textbook of Autism Spectrum Disorders has been updated to reflect the latest research in ASD. Unrivaled in its thoroughness, this volume discusses issues of assessment and evaluation; examines the etiology of ASD and its recognized associations with other medical conditions; analyzes standard and experimental treatments; and delves into social policy issues pertinent to individuals with ASD and those who treat them. With summary points in each chapter and copious lists of recommended readings, this is an indispensable resource for psychiatrists, psychologists, neurologists, social workers, speech therapists, educators, and all others in the continuum of care"--

Over the past three decades, there has been a growing interest in the link between severe visual disorders (low vision and blindness) and the presence of autism spectrum disorders. Starting from an approach that focuses on the centrality of the person and adopts a biopsychosocial perspective, the text aims to investigate this comorbidity, proposing research questions, theoretical reflections, and intervention insights. In particular, the text focuses on the following themes: the importance of sensitive and specific diagnostic tools and pathways for the early detection of visual impairment from the earliest stages of development in people with autism spectrum disorders; the importance of specific intervention approaches that take into account the distinctiveness related to this comorbidity and allow supporting and promoting the developmental potential of people with this comorbidity; and the importance of informing and training, through a collaborative and person-centered approach, family members, caregivers, teachers, educators, pedagogues and other professionals in the field of inclusion.

"While this book is not intended to serve as a how-to manual for providing assessment and intervention for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), it should serve as an informational source and guide of evidence-based practice. The first six chapters of this text discuss assessment, including common characteristics and presentations of an ASD diagnosis (Chapter 1), common co-occurring conditions (Chapter 2), factors associated with ASD (Chapter 3), evidence-based assessment in clinical settings (Chapter 4), and best practices for assessment in school settings (Chapter 5). The second part of this book focuses on various forms of intervention, including behavioral intervention with an emphasis on applied behavioral analysis (Chapter 6), an overview of treatments for core symptoms of ASD (Chapter 7), the use of cognitive behavioral therapy for autistic individuals (Chapter 8), treatment for severe mal-adaptive behaviors including feeding difficulties and aggression (Chapter 9), school-based modifications and interventions (Chapter 10), and pharmacological interventions (Chapter 11). Since ASD is a diagnosis usually given in childhood and early intervention is important, the majority of the content in this book is focused on and comes from research from children. However, several chapters allude to research based on autistic adults, and Chapter 12 focuses on important considerations when providing intervention to adolescents and young adults"--

Vapor Generation Techniques for Trace Element Analysis: Fundamental Aspects provides an overview and discussion of the fundamental aspects governing derivatization reactions of trace-level elements for analytical purposes. Vapor generation techniques coupled with atomic or mass spectrometry have been employed for over 50 years, but their popularity has dramatically increased in recent years, especially as alternative vapor generation approaches have been developed. This book bridges the knowledge gap of the derivatization mechanisms that yield volatile compounds and provides an update on recent developments in vapor generation techniques used for the determination and speciation of trace elements by atomic optical and mass spectrometry. It will serve as a comprehensive, single-source overview of recent developments, providing readers with an understanding of the correct implementation—and limitations—of applying vapor generation techniques to everyday analytical problems facing the trace element analyst.

"The Neuroscience of Autism provides a comprehensive accounting of autism spectrum disorders by integrating scientific findings from behavioral, cognitive and neurobiological research. The book begins by defining autism, identifying characteristics and prevalence, exploring its history, and then moving on to the cognitive and social bases of behavioral symptoms, the brain bases of behavioral and cognitive symptoms, and finally, intervention practices. It examines theoretical models such as weak central coherence, enhanced perceptual functioning, and the extreme male brain hypothesis.
