Der weit gefasste Titel „Kirche im Wandel“ des ersten Bandes der neuen Reihe Sakralraumtransformationen ist Programm: Geht es vielfach vor allem um die Frage, welche Nutzungsvarianten für entwidmete Kirchengebäude zur Verfügung stehen, bilden hier die Reflexion von Erfahrungen mit Transformationen und Perspektiven hinsichtlich der Präsenz der Religionsgemeinschaften in den Gesellschaften Deutschlands und anderer europäischer Länder den Schwerpunkt. Die Sakralgebäude haben in diesem Zusammenhang als öffentliche Repräsentanten und Träger vielfältiger Funktionen einen besonderen Stellenwert und sind im Zuge ihrer Veränderung oder ihres Verschwindens Indikatoren der gesellschaftlichen Wandlungsprozesse. Als Kulturgüter und oft auch als städtebaulich relevante Raummarken gehören sie keineswegs nur den jeweiligen Gemeinden oder Gemeinschaften, sondern der Gesellschaft als ganzer. Sie weiterzuentwickeln und dadurch zu erhalten ist eine Aufgabe, der sich nicht nur die christlichen Gemeinden, sondern möglichst viele Verantwortliche in Politik, Wirtschaft und Kultur zu stellen haben. Die DFG-Forschungsgruppe Sakralraumtransformation (TRANSARA) befasst sich aus interdisziplinärer Perspektive mit diesen Prozessen und legt hier den Ertrag ihrer ersten Jahrestagung vor, die im Dialog mit Fachleuten unterschiedlicher Kompetenzen der Vergewisserung über den status quo diente und deren Ergebnisse zu einer perspektivischen Orientierung beitragen sollen.

Au travers de l’analyse d’une quarantaine de projets de rénovation, réhabilitation, reconversion dont les permis ont été déposés à Paris entre 2020 et 2022, et des lauréats de concours récents, l’ouvrage Conserver Adapter Transmettre souhaite rendre compte [des] nouveaux modes de fabrication qui conjuguent enjeux climatiques, volontés patrimoniales et une programmation adaptée aux attentes contemporaines. Les réponses multiples, dévoilées au travers de documents produits spécialement par les architectes, dressent un panorama des fondamentaux de l’architecture parisienne de demain. En quête de durabilité et de performance énergétique, elles développent des dispositifs simples et passifs plutôt que des systèmes électriques ou numériques.
