Abstract

Welche Zugange zu MINT finden und wahlen junge, naturwissenschaftlich interessierte Frauen, die sich am Ubergang von Schule zu Studium oder Ausbildung befinden? Im Rahmen von drei Berufsorientierungsakademien des Projekts helpING erhielten Schulerinnen Einblicke in Berufs- und Studienbereiche zu Naturwissenschaften, Technik und IT, begegneten MINT-Role-Models und entwarfen im Team MINT-Losungen fur gesellschaftliche und okologische Herausforderungen der Zukunft. In diesem Band werden nun die Befunde der wissenschaftlichen Begleitforschung zu den Akademien vorgestellt. Mit Fragebogenerhebungen, Gruppendiskussionen und Interviews wurden Daten erhoben, die erlauben, die Perspektiven der jungen Frauen auf MINT als potenzielles Studien- und Berufsfeld detailliert zu beschreiben. Es zeigt sich einerseits das Potenzial der Akademien, MINT-interessierte junge Frauen zu adressieren und ihnen differenzierte Einblicke in MINT-Bereiche zu ermoglichen. Deutlich tritt aber auch zutage, wie facettenreich die Einflusse auf Bildungswegentscheidungen sind. Die vermeintlich homogene Gruppe MINT-interessierter junger Frauen erweist sich bei genauerem Hinsehen als ausgesprochen divers.
