Bisphosphonates (BP) are pyrophosphate analogues, which share a common phosphorous-carbon-phosphorous chemical core. The use of bisphosphonate drugs has been popularised in the late 20th century for the management of many conditions associated with abnormalities of bone turnover, particularly metastatic and haematogenous malignancy and osteopenia. However, recently, researches found that the BP was not as safe as we thought. My project aims to proof the disadvantage of BP drug through the analysis of Micro-CT, CBCT ,Nano-CT and histology on the jawbone of rats.
