An important, open research topic today is to understand the relevance that dark matter halo substructure may have for dark matter searches. In the standard cosmological model, halo substructure or subhalos are predicted to be largely abundant inside larger halos, for example, galaxies such as ours, and are thought to form first and later merge to form larger structures. Dwarf satellite galaxies—the most massive exponents of halo substructure in our own galaxy—are already known to be excellent targets for dark matter searches, and indeed, they are constantly scrutinized by current gamma-ray experiments in the search for dark matter signals. Lighter subhalos not massive enough to have a visible counterpart of stars and gas may be good targets as well, given their typical abundances and distances. In addition, the clumpy distribution of subhalos residing in larger halos may boost the dark matter signals considerably. In an era in which gamma-ray experiments possess, for the first time, the exciting potential to put to test the preferred dark matter particle theories, a profound knowledge of dark matter astrophysical targets and scenarios is mandatory should we aim for accurate predictions of dark matter-induced fluxes for investing significant telescope observing time on selected targets and for deriving robust conclusions from our dark matter search efforts. In this regard, a precise characterization of the statistical and structural properties of subhalos becomes critical. In this Special Issue, we aim to summarize where we stand today on our knowledge of the different aspects of the dark matter halo substructure; to identify what are the remaining big questions, and how we could address these; and, by doing so, to find new avenues for research.

La matière des saisies et des voies d’exécution, malgré les questions cruciales qu’elle soulève, est parfois assez mal connue des praticiens. C’est la raison pour laquelle il a semblé essentiel à la Conférence du Jeune barreau de Mons de s’intéresser à ce sujet.Pour ce faire, elle a fait appel à un panel d’experts dont les contributions sont réunies dans le présent ouvrage.Ainsi, Monsieur Quentin Debray analyse, dans un premier temps, les saisies-arrêts, tandis que Madame Séverine Vincent se penche sur les saisies immobilières.De nombreuses questions concernant l’astreinte et la compensation se posent régulièrement devant le juge des saisies. Ces questions, et les réponses y apportées, sont passées en revue par Monsieur Damien Fisse et par Monsieur Emmanuel Mathieu.Enfin, le traitement de la question des saisies et des voies d’exécution n’aurait pu être complet sans qu’il soit fait mention du sort y réservé en cas de procédure de règlement collectif de dettes. Monsieur Philippe Lecocq étudie ainsi l’enchevêtrement de cette dernière avec les voies d’exécution.

This book focuses on the implementation, evaluation and application of DNA/RNA-based genetic algorithms in connection with neural network modeling, fuzzy control, the Q-learning algorithm and CNN deep learning classifier. It presents several DNA/RNA-based genetic algorithms and their modifications, which are tested using benchmarks, as well as detailed information on the implementation steps and program code. In addition to single-objective optimization, here genetic algorithms are also used to solve multi-objective optimization for neural network modeling, fuzzy control, model predictive control and PID control. In closing, new topics such as Q-learning and CNN are introduced. The book offers a valuable reference guide for researchers and designers in system modeling and control, and for senior undergraduate and graduate students at colleges and universities. .
