This book is a wide-ranging reference on current clinical and scientific knowledge regarding the various aspects of molar incisor hypomineralization (MIH). Background information is first presented on the structural properties of hypomineralized enamel, the prevalence of MIH, and potential etiological factors. Subsequent chapters focus on key considerations in clinical practice. Diagnostic criteria, classifications, and treatment strategies are discussed and detailed attention is devoted to potential associations between MIH and caries, the occurrence of hypomineralized primary teeth, and the knowledge and experience of dentists concerning MIH. Introduction and purpose of the study. - Patients care in the operating room must always be more efficient at all levels. This project aims at establishing a clinical route allowing the standardisation of the practices and the improvement of their effectiveness.
Material and methodologies. - Two methods have been used for the data collection. As a first step, the different stages of the management of patients hospitalised in surgical day hospital for a wisdom teeth extraction carried out under general anaesthetic in the operating room has been detailed through direct observation. In a second phase, internal and external experts (maxillofacial surgeons, operating room nurses and anaesthetists) have answered several rows of survey following the Delphi method.
Results. - A consensus has been obtained and a clinical route considered as standardised has been established. A study proposal on its evaluation would be interesting.
Conclusions. - This methodology is successful and can be applied to other more complex surgical procedures.

This book is a clinical guide to the prevention and management of traumatic dental injuries, including crown and root fractures and luxation injuries, in children of all ages.
