Bruges is much more than Gothic architecture, canals, lace and chocolate. Triënnale Brugge has shown us that Bruges also shines when it comes to contemporary art and architecture. Triënnale Brugge and the Bruges' Department of Environment want to really open up this new treasure trove to the public. This guide therefore aims to inspire people to take a walking tour around 70 carefully selected contemporary gems, from Fabre to Permeke, from the Concertgebouw (concert hall) to the Rijksarchief (state archives). With this guide you will see a completely different side to this pulsating city. Brugge is veel meer dan gotiek, reien, kant en chocolade. Acht essays, geschreven door experten, gaan dieper in op thema's als kunst in de stad, bouwen in werelderfgoed en stadsvernieuwing. Elk kunstwerk of gebouw is helder omschreven in woord en beeld.
