"Construction Arbitration in Central and Eastern Europe" takes a close look at the contemporary topics in construction arbitration and related procedures, with a focus on Central and Eastern Europe. Complex construction projects often give rise to disputes which are usually submitted to dispute boards and arbitration for their resolution. The successful execution of a construction project is inextricably linked to the management of risks and the expeditious settlement of any disputes that may arise. In this regard, the wealth of experience gained by Central and Eastern European practitioners in dealing with complex issues arising in construction projects is highly relevant to international arbitration. Thus, this timely book provides a combination of local expertise and cross-jurisdictional perspectives on topics that most often emerge in construction disputes, which resonate far beyond the specific regions covered.

Arbitration in Africa under OHADA Rules' is the first-ever publication in English on the topic globally. Over recent decades, African countries have witnessed an increase in international investment, which has led to the need for a harmonized legal environment across borders creating, inter alia, a modern arbitration system. The 1993 Treaty establishing the Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa (OHADA) took a giant step toward meeting this need and improved and consolidated its achievements with major arbitration-related revisions enacted in 2017 that came into force in 2018. This book, the first systematic analysis in English, elucidates in detail the ad hoc and institutional arbitration regimes that characterize the system. It aims to keep the practitioners abreast of all that they need to know to conduct arbitral proceedings efficiently in any of the Ohada's seventeen Member States.

'Liber Amicorum Samir Saleh' has been conceived to honor Dr. Samir Saleh, one of the leading scholars and international lawyers in the Arab World. It brilliantly upturns the widespread perception that the Islamic and Arab worlds fail to conform to the present day's internationalized approach to dispute resolution. With contributions from nineteen eminent authors - judges, arbitrators, academics, practicing lawyers, representatives of international arbitral institutions - this collection of essays and analyses manifests the salutary worldwide influence of Arab law and its intersection with the common law and civil law traditions.

This guide to the SCC Arbitration Rules, the first and only available commentary in English, addresses the Rules and their Appendices article by article in the order in which they appear in the Rules.

Finances in International Arbitration' focuses on various aspects of finances of arbitration, such as evaluating the costs of disputes, arbitral institution costs, financing of disputes, recovery of costs of arbitration and other related financial matters. Costs of arbitration have always been a main concern in international arbitration. It is a topic most often discussed and analysed. In spite of the recent developments in third-party funding regulations as well as other mechanisms made available to users of arbitration to reduce costs, the topic remains a key focus for users of arbitration. This book celebrates the career of Patricia Shaughnessy, in particular, for the establishment of the top-ranked Masters of Law (LLM) programme in International Commercial Arbitration at Stockholm University.
