Au XIX siècle, lorsque l’homosexualité est inventée comme crime et maladie mentale en Europe, l’écrivain Karl Heinrich Ulrich est le premier à se déclarer « uraniste » et à affirmer les droits de « ceux qui aiment différemment ». Après lui, Preciado refuse le protocole médico-légal de changement de sexe et entreprend un projet de transformation de son corps et de sa subjectivité via l’auto-administration de testostérone. Il relate cette traversée, ce devenir « homme-trans », au fil de chroniques dans Libération entamées comme Beatriz et poursuivies une fois devenu Paul.Il y développe une philosophie politique dépassant les questions de sexualité et évoque des questions politico-sociales comme le devenir néo-fasciste en Europe, la crise grecque, les luttes zapatistes au Mexique, le conflit en Catalogne.Car la dualité sexuelle et son l’épistémologie binaire sont le cadre général de nos sociétés « technopatriarcales et hétérocentrées ». La masculinité s’y définit par le droit des hommes à donner la mort et la féminité par l’obligation des femmes à donner la vie. L’hétérosexualité est à la fois une politique du désir et un régime de gouvernement imposant un système de violence et de domination. Face à ce régime, la culture queer et trans est celle du l’expérimentation du genre et de la non-naturalisation des positions de pouvoir. Les corps sont équivalents, le pouvoir est redistribué.En devenant Paul, Preciado, « dissident du système genre-genre », met en pratique la révolution sexuelle et politique qu’il appelle de ses vœux. Il propose ainsi une cartographie de technologies du pouvoir aussi bien qu’une guide des nouvelles stratégies de résistance à la norme (éditeur)

This text addresses the specific lack of clinical educational support for transgender and gender nonconforming (TGNC) individuals as they age.
