Tonnen.

The past decade has seen unprecedented developments in the understanding of relativistic fluid dynamics in and out of equilibrium, with connections to astrophysics, cosmology, string theory, quantum information, nuclear physics and condensed matter physics. Romatschke and Romatschke offer a powerful new framework for fluid dynamics, exploring its connections to kinetic theory, gauge/gravity duality and thermal quantum field theory. Numerical algorithms to solve the equations of motion of relativistic dissipative fluid dynamics as well as applications to various systems are discussed. In particular, the book contains a comprehensive review of the theory background necessary to apply fluid dynamics to simulate relativistic nuclear collisions, including comparisons of fluid simulation results to experimental data for relativistic lead-lead, proton-lead and proton-proton collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The book is an excellent resource for students and researchers working in nuclear physics, astrophysics, cosmology, quantum many-body systems and string theory.

Thermo and Fluid Dynamics: Recent Advances examine various aspects of fluid dynamics and the recent developments that have taken place in the past few years. It includes a general description on thermodynamics, its laws and various theories related to it. Provide the reader with the insights into the development of thermo and fluid dynamics, so as to understand the macroscopic variables, such as internal energy, entropy, and pressure, that partly describe a body of matter or radiation.

Theory and Problems of Fluid Dynamics explains various dimensions of fluids, fluid statics, and dynamics of fluids. It includes the issues that are related to fluid dynamics and solutions to overcome those problems. Magnetohydrodynamics has been described in detail with different theorems and motions. The chapters in this book are arranged in a progressive and educational format, aimed at leading readers from the simplest basics to more complex matters like turbulence and magnetohydrodynamics.

This textbook for senior undergraduate and graduate students outlines and provides links between classical mechanics and geophysical fluid dynamics. It is particularly suitable for the mechanics and fluids dynamics courses of geophysics, meteorology, or oceanography students as well as serving as a general textbook for a course on geophysical fluid dynamics. It describes the motions of rigid bodies and shows how classical mechanics has important applications to geophysics, as in the precession of the earth, oceanic tide, and the retreat of the moon from the earth owing to the tidal friction. Unlike the more general mechanics textbooks this gives a unique presentation of these applications
