Considering that education is important for the future of young generations, during 2017 UDIK worked on the handbook From Yugoslavia to Dayton - Monuments and the culture of memory through the influence of socio-political systems. The aim of this handbook is to contribute to building a culture of memory of the population on the war events of the nineties and to the prevention of unplanned and massive construction of monuments through education about the monuments to the victims of war that were created during that time period and after it. Five experts from the fields of history, security and peace studies, political science and communication sciences participated in the creation of this handbook, namely: Edin Radušić and Amir Duranović - Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo, Nerzuk Ćurak - Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Sarajevo, Amra Čusto - Cantonal Institute for the Protection of Cultural, Historical and Natural Heritage Sarajevo and Edvin Kanka Ćudić - UDIK Sarajevo. Attached to this manual is work material intended, as well as the entire manual, for all those who work with students in order to use this handbook and use specific examples to help their students better understand the monuments and the culture of memory in Bosnia and Herzegovina and beyond.

Given the influential role that business professionals now play in society, high-quality education is essential. A recognition that business programs can and should nurture leaders committed not only to personal and corporate success but also to social progress rests at the core of a revised and renewed education model. Steeped in the liberal arts, this book presents a practical plan to achieve that goal. It makes a cogent argument for incorporating a theoretical model of professionalism into undergraduate and graduate business programs, and offers guidance to business deans and faculty interested in preparing students for the evolving role of business leadership in the 21st century. Using an adapted "wheel of professionalism" model, it describes curricular content and educational approaches designed to guide students toward higher levels of professionalism, social consciousness, and ethical decision-making.

This book discusses how the Dutch vocational education system has undergone significant waves of reform driven by global imperatives, national concerns and governmental policy goals. Like elsewhere, the impetuses for these reforms are directed to generating a more industry-responsive, locally-accountable and competence-based vocational education system. Each wave of reforms, however, has had particular emphases, and directed to achieve particular policy outcomes. Yet, they are more than mere versions of what had or is occurring elsewhere. They are shaped by specific national imperatives, sentiments and localised concerns. Consequently, whilst this book elaborate what constitutes the contemporary provision of vocational education in the Netherlands also addresses a broader concern of how vocational education systems become formed, manifested within nation states, and then are transformed through particular imperatives, institutional arrangement and localised factors. So, the readers of this book whilst learning much about the Dutch vocational education system will also come to identify and engage with a selection of contributions that inform factors that situate, shape and transform vocational education systems. Such a focus seems important given an era when there are concerns to standardise and make uniform educational provisions, often for administrative or political imperatives. As such, this book will be of interest not only to those who are engaged in the field of vocational education, but those with an interest in educational policy, practice and comparative studies.
