"The Second Sound is an imaginary conversation between musicians and sound artists on the role of gender and sex within their field. It gathers testimonies from a variety of artists from different backgrounds into a single stream of (often contrary) opinions. Together, they address questions like: How do life circumstances find their way into music and sound art? How does music reflect historical and social structures? What does discrimination do, and how can we navigate around it? How to unlock networks? Is the under-representaiton of women and LGBTQ people in the field a symptom or a cause? Is art itself gendered? And can it reflect the gender of its maker? Is a different way of listening needed to more accurately understand those voices from outside the historical canon?"

Denn Gender birgt als analytische Kategorie gerade für ethische Fragestellungen ein erhebliches kritisches Potential. Betroffen davon sind unter anderem die Konzeption des sittlichen Subjekts und der Geschlechterdifferenz, die Fragen nach Natur und Körper des Menschen, Gerechtigkeitsprobleme, (reproduktions)medizinische und therapeutische Kontexte wie auch Diskurse um Norm und Normalität.Die vorliegende Publikation versammelt – als erstes Jahrbuch für Moraltheologie – zehn Beiträge, die sich ausgewählten moraltheologisch relevanten Feldern des Genderdiskurses nähern. Ziel dieses Buches ist es, Gender als ein Querschnittsthema theologischer Ethik sowohl in fundamentalethischer wie angewandt-ethischer Perspektive zu plausibilisieren. Binge drinking and illicit sex were just as common in the Dutch Golden Age as they are today, if not more so. Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll in the Dutch Golden Age is a compelling narrative about the generation of young men that came of age in the Dutch Republic during the economic boom of the early seventeenth century. Contrary to their parents' wishes, the younger generation grew up in luxury and wore extravagant clothing, grew their hair long, and squandered their time drinking and smoking.
