Five years on and the acclaimed 'Hands of Time' has a sequel entitled 'Hands of Time ? Plein été'. The second part is an overview of drawings and other works from the period 2012 to 2017 and follows on seamlessly from the first. Johan De Wilde's work seems, if ever that is possible, to have become even more intense and his drawing style to explore new layers. The drawings can be seen as the work of a human printer (man created the computer in his own image). They are built up like paintings: a labour-intensive process, layer upon layer of horizontal and vertical lines interwoven with a form, a figure. It is as if he is drawing the canvas on which he paints with his pencils. Johan De Wilde draws real time on a scale of 1:1. While his and our time slips by, lines appear, which is another reason why almost every drawing is given the title 'History + a number. Vita brevis, ars longa.'

The 'Alabaster Mentalis' series by the Ghent artist Sofie Muller (b. 1974) cannot fail to move. Her sculptures of isolated heads show their physical and psychological wounds in a manner that is simultaneously raw and poetic. Craftsmanship and aesthetics engage in a striking dialogue with the irregular alabaster. In these works, Muller subtly depicts the universality of the human condition.

The book is the result of a 4-year project in Bosnia-and-Herzegovina where Thomas Nolf came across the existence of pyramids, stone spheres and other peculiar artifacts, discovered by Semir Osmanagich and his team. Aiming to draw an alternative biography that counteracts the post-war disillusion, Nolf photographed, intervened and ultimately tried to pedestal the phenomena as a history to believe in.

Jos Devriendt (1964) has a background in both ceramics and sculpture. He had solo exhibitions in New York City, London, and Tokyo, as well as in Belgium. Most of his work is made by hand, and are unique pieces, but, on occasion, occasionally he designed what he calls “low tech” products, lamps or tableware. 'I am I' is the first overview of his works from 1991 until 2017: tableware, vases, furniture, jewelry, but especially lamps and lighting fixtures in porcelain or stoneware, minimalist white or glazed with beautiful coloured glazes, and sometimes incorporating materials like wood, metal, and bronze. He makes often works in a thematic series, like 'Night and Day', the mushroom inspired lamps, 'Squeeze', 'Space Horizon'.
