Sophie Friedel explores the action of skateboarding in her book as a way to escape cycles of despair, not only in war torn environments and regions affected by poverty. The author critically reflects on her involvements of teaching skateboarding in Afghanistan within the context of youth empowerment and peace work. Herbert von Bismarck, von 1871 zwei Jahrzehnte lang engster Mitarbeiter seines Vaters, hat nach seiner Entlassung längere Aufzeichnungen über Kaiser Wilhelm II. und große Themen der deutschen Außenpolitik der 1880er Jahre verfasst. Er wollte sie für ein Erinnerungswerk verwerten, das er durch seinen frühen Tod nur für die Jahre 1871 bis 1886 fertigstellen konnte. Diese Erinnerungen und die Aufzeichnungen werden hier zusammengefügt veröffentlicht.

Elk jaar wordt in bijna elke school in Vlaanderen een schoolfeest georganiseerd. Vanuit basisschool 'De Boomgaard' in Ardooie kwam de vr aag om een evenement uit te werken dat kan doorgaan als een schoolfeest. Dit betreft dan ook het onderwerp van ons eindwerk. Goede communicatie, creativiteit en handelen zijn de drijfveren geworden tijdens het uitwerken van onze bachelorproef. We bekeken de historiek van schoolfeesten in België en organiseerden een kleinschalig schoolfeest in Kenia. We namen een enquête af van 100 scholen in Vlaanderen. Deze verwerking vindt u ook terug in onze bachelorproef. Het thema 'De geheime boekenbende' hadden we tot in de puntjes uitgewerkt op maat van elk leerjaar. Dit stelden we voor door middel van een toneelstuk en brachten we het thema ook naar de klas aan de hand van de boekpromoties. Elke klas kreeg een boek en een dans toegewezen. Iedereen was heel enthousiast en het viel op dat het thema echt leefde in de school. Dit afstudeerwerk kan men gebruiken om onze aanpak te bekijken. De inhoudelijke meerwaarde van het thema stimuleerde de leerlingen (on)bewust tot het lezen van een boek. Alvast veel kijk- en leesgenot!
