Dieses Standardwerk zur Werkstoffkunde erscheint nun in der 12. Auflage. Das bewährte didaktische Anliegen, durch die Versuchsfolge ein vertieftes Verständnis für die grundlegenden werkstoffkundlichen Methoden und Zusammenhänge zu ermöglichen, wurde beibehalten. Die vorliegende normenaktualisierte Auflage wurde um drei Versuche zur Eigenschaftsbestimmung an carbonfaserverstärkten Kunstoffen (CFK) sowie um einen Versuch zur Rückstreuelektronenbeugung (EBSD) erweitert, sodass das Werk nunmehr 95 Versuche umfasst.
