Abstract

Established in1979, the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) is a formal interagency body to prescribe uniform principles and standards, and to make recommendations to promote uniformity in the supervision of financial institutions. The Council is responsible for developing uniform reporting systems for federally supervised financial institutions, their holding companies, and the nonfinancial institution subsidiaries of those institutions and holding companies. This web site includes links to consumer help center, consumer compliance and financial institution infomation.

Abstract

The Appraisal Subcommittee provides federal oversight of State appraiser regulatory programs and a monitoring framework for the Appraisal Foundation and the Federal Financial Institutions Regulatory Agencies in their roles to protect federal financial and public policy interests in real estate appraisals used in federally related transactions. The site provides: resources for real estate appraisers, consumers, state appraiser regulatory agencies, and financial institutions; a national registry of state certified and licensed real estate appraisers; review findings from state appraiser regulatory programs; and, the legal framework for its operations.
