Il est composé : - de certains chapitres de deux des titres parus chez Dunod dans la série « Psychopathologie et psychanalyse » dirigée par Catherine Chabert, à savoir Processus de la schizophrénie (2002) et Phobie et paranoïa (2001) ; - de trois nouveaux chapitres encore jamais publiés.
