Dieser Sammelband enthält 64 Beiträge, die am 31. Linguistischen Kolloquium präsentiert wurden. Es handelt sich dabei um ein breites Spektrum aus den verschiedenen Bereichen der Linguistik. Die Autoren trugen der Tatsache Rechnung, daß es sich bei einem Kolloquium, dessen Themenbereich weitgehend offen ist, nicht um eine spezialisierte Hörerschaft handelt. So zeigen die Artikel mehrheitlich grundsätzliche Überlegungen und Ansätze auf, d.h. es handelt sich um zukunftsweisende Tendenzen europäischer Linguistik. 45 Vorträge sind in Deutsch, 17 in Englisch und zwei in Französisch abgedruckt. This is a collection of 64 papers presented at the 31st Linguistics Colloquium. They extend across a broad range of linguistic issues. The authors take due account of the fact that in a colloquium with a very broad spectrum the audience cannot be a specialist one. Hence the majority of the articles center on questions of principle and approach, the common denominator being in all cases the tendencies most likely to determine the future of European linguistics. 45 of the articles are in German, 17 in English, and 2 in French.
