Le développement rapide et intense de l'apprentissage des langues étrangères et de leur enseignement, au plan européen comme au plan mondial, a instauré, depuis un demi-siècle, une activité d'investigation importante, illustrée par des recherches en didactique des langues et en acquisition des langues. De ce champ d'activité, de ses méthodes et de ses apports, Sebastian Piotrowski, docteur en Sciences du langage des Universités de Lublin et de Paris-X, et actuellement maître de conférences à l'Université Catholique de Lublin Jean-Paul II, présente un état actuel, étayé par une recherche empirique sur l'apprentissage du français par des élèves polonais.
