Apprendre : un terme foisonnant de sens divers, et dont on peut tenter, pourtant, de saisir l'unité profonde. Quel rapport établir entre l'information et la formation, l'apprentissage et l'étude, l'initiation et l'enseignement ? Les analyses de l'auteur aboutissent à la thèse suivante : si l'on peut apprendre bien des choses, souvent essentielles, hors de l'enseignement, celui-ci constitue néanmoins une manière spécifique d'apprendre.
