Invasive Bladder Cancer draws on the expertise of an international community of experts in the area. It offers an updated, simple overview bridging the information coming from basic research to clinical practice, facilitated by most chapters having both a basic researcher and a clinician writing together. The book will be of particular interest to office urologists, and oncologists with a specialist interest in urology.

Without metastasis, prostate cancer would be both tolerable and treatable. The high incidence of indolent and organ confined disease is testament to this sweeping generalisation. Equally, if molecular markers of metastatic spread can be identified, then the choice of treatment for many patients would be easier and more radical, even curative. However, should prevention and treatment of the primary tumors prove difficult or impossible, then a knowledge of the phenotype of advanced metastatic tumors should allow us to target these lesions for destruction by conventional (drug based) or more innovative means such as gene and/or immunotherapy (1). The process of metastasis has been reviewed many times (e. g. , 2) and has been subdivided for ease of analysis into a number of discrete stages (see Figure 1). Metastasis (spread of cancer in the body) is the main cause of death for patients with breast cancer, the leading female tumour in the industrialised countries and developing countries alike. The biology and treatment of breast cancer metastasis remains an active area of scientific and clinical investigation. Written by experts in the subject area, the book has covered a broad range of topics in the metastasis of breast cancer, from genetics, biology to clinical management. Main topics include genetic control, biology, growth factors, cell adhesion, cell motility and invasion, natures of bone metastasis, sentinel node therapies, hormonal links, new biomarkers and detection of micrometastasis, and diagnosis The book also covers the current treatment options including surgical management, chemotherapy and hormonal therapies. This timely book provides the current knowledge in the area of breast cancer metastasis and will be of important reading material for oncologists, radiologists, cancer researchers, biologists and health worker.

Brain metastases are the most dreaded complication of systemic cancer, affecting approximately 170,000 people a year, a far greater incidence than primary brain tumors. Advances in modern chemotherapy have led to an improved control of system cancers, often with agents that poorly penetrate the central nervous system, resulting in an increasing incidence of brain metastases. Traditional chemotherapy has had little impact on brain metastases. The main therapeutic option is radiation therapy, and in a small number of patients - surgery. However, refinements in all of these treatments offer some positive outcomes and an increased ability to stratify patients based on certain criteria. This book will bring current information on the presentation and management of patients with brain metastases, providing available data, giving guidelines that can be applied in day to day practice, updated information for neuro-surgeons, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, and neuro-oncologists, as well as an overview for physicians in training. "Brain metastases are one of the most devasting consequences of cancer. This text addresses the epidemiology, pathophysiology, imaging, and management of this complication. Experts in the field cover a broad array of relevant topics highlighting the challenges and current therapeutic strategies." Steven T. Rosen, M.D. Series Editor.

How are national identities constructed and articulated through music? Popular music has long been associated with political dissent, and the nation state has consistently demonstrated a determination to seek out and procure for itself a stake in the management of 'its' popular musics. This book ranges from considerations of the ideological focus of cultural nationalism through to analyses of musical hybridity and musical articulations of other kinds of identities at odds with national identity. The processes of global homogenization are thereby shown to have brought about a transitional crisi
