De vergrijzing gecombineerd met de naoorlogse babyboom produceert over enkele jaren een nieuw publiek. Zeker als deze mensen de overstap gaan maken van het actieve arbeidsleven naar een leven met meer tijd, behoorlijk wat financiële middelen en een opgebouwde culturele bagage. Het kwalitatief en participatief pilootproject ?toekomstschets culturele vrijetijdsbesteding 45+? zocht in tien Vlaamse gemeenten uit hoe de leeftijdsgroep zélf denkt over deze voorveronderstellingen. De resultaten van dit voor de cultuursector eerder ongewoon onderzoek zijn gebundeld in deze uitdagende publicatie. Het biedt niet enkel een zicht op de verwachtingen van een generationele doelgroep, het schetst tegelijk komende tendensen waarop de cultuursector moet anticiperen
