Le premier volume du dictionnaire PatRom, le tome II.1 paru en 2004, a été consacré à l'homme et aux parties du corps humain, essentiellement à la tête et aux membres supérieurs. Le tome II.2 viendra le compléter en exploitant les étymons des membres inférieurs (COXA, CAMBA, PES, etc.) et des fonctions plus générales (SANGUIS, CAPILLUS, PILUS, PELLIS). Le volume sera complété par un échantillon d'étymons relatifs à des qualités physiques (IUVENIS, GROSSUS, SURDUS, etc.) ou morales (DULCIS, FIDELIS, GURDUS) liées principalement à l'espèce humaine. Ce volume II.2 sera composé de 31 super-lemmes, correspondant à environ 60 lemmes particuliers, relevant d'étymons distincts selon la macrostructure. Onze d'entre eux concerneront des éléments du corps humain et vingt diverses qualités physiques et morales. Comme dans les volumes précédents, ces différents articles permettront à nouveau d'apprécier l'analyse systématique des étymons, qui donne la prééminence à la documentation tant médiévale que contemporaine.
