Ouvrage entièrement consacré à l'oeuvre de Marcel Breuer- designer et architecte. Marcel Breuer est né le 22 mai 1902 en Hongrie. Après avoir étudié et enseigné (1925-1928) à l'école du Bauhaus à Weimar, il devient une figure emblématique pour la conception de mobilier tubulaire. En 1937, il émigra aux Etats-Unis comme professeur à l'université de Harvard, il se consacra ensuite à sa carrière d'architecte jusqu'à la fin de sa vie en 1981. Adhérant au modernisme, il construisit de nombreuses maisons résidentielles, des bâtiments de bureaux, des églises, des universités...Oeuvre majeure le siège central de l'Unesco à Paris et le Whitney Museum à New York
