Ce volume est le premier de la série « Archéologie et grands travaux », créée au sein des DAF afin d’accueillir les publications des opérations de sauvetage de grande ampleur, et en majeure partie financée par les responsables de ces aménagements en milieu rural et urbain. Découvert à l’occasion des fouilles effectuées préalablement à la construction de la ligne d’interconnexion des TGV, le site de Jablines a révélé une mine néolithique de silex qui a fait l’objet, pour la première fois en France, d’une fouille extensive. Plus de 1 000 structures ont ainsi été repérées et 58 puits intégralement explorés. Les résultats des études conduites par une équipe pluridisciplinaire sont ici présentés en détail. Enfin, le site est replacé dans son environnement régional et comparé à des sites du même type en France et dans le reste de l’Europe. This volume is the first of the series “Archéologie et grands travaux”, created within the DAF series to welcome the publication of large scale rescue excavations, and in part financed by developers of projects in rural or urban situations. Discovered during excavations carried out before construction work on the northern TGV line, the site of jablines uncovered a neolithic flint mine which became the object, for the first time in France, of large scale excavation. More than 1 000 features had been located and 58 shafts completly explored. The results of these studies conducted by a pluridisplinary team are presented here in detail. Finally, the site is placed within its regional environment and compared to sites of the same type in France and the rest of Europe.
