Het opzet van dit onderzoek is eigenlijk vrij eenvoudig: eerst krijgen we een woordje uitleg bij de theorie wat betreft de positie van de cliënt in de structuur van de hulpverlening ... en vervolgens heeft de auteur onderzocht in hoeverre de pure theorie toegepast wordt in de praktijk in drie instellingen voor ambulante geestelijke gezondheidszorg. Blijft nog altijd een interessante onderzoeksmethode: toets de pure theorie gewoon eens aan de dagdagelijkse praktijk.
