This book is an introduction to postqualitative methodology. It situates postqualitative methodology in feminist and posthumanist theories, where research is a worlding practice. Through addressing the relationality of inquiry, the book considers knowledge production as both material and discursive and proposes experimenting with research practices. Rather than offering instructions on how to conduct research, the book invites the reader to explore questions on how to form research problems, address research ethics and construct and analyze empirical material. By focusing on methodological as well as theoretical elaborations it can be inspirational within a range of different research areas, and work as a companion both for students and researchers.

This book explores the concept of education beyond crises, presenting qualitative educational research perspectives. It examines how crises and unexpected challenges serve as catalysts for transforming individual knowledge and worldview. The text delves into theoretical and empirical explorations of educational processes, focusing on the impact of crises on learning and development. It critiques the traditional view of education as a transformation triggered by crises, proposing alternative approaches that consider broader social conditions. The book is intended for scholars and practitioners in the field of education, aiming to expand theoretical concepts and empirical studies in qualitative education.

This course provides an overview of two types of qualitative data collection methodologies: semi-structured interviews and focus groups. These techniques are commonly used in policy research and are applicable to many research questions. The course does not aim to cover all the aspects of interviewing and focus groups, but rather it is designed to provide an overview of these methods, as well as some practical tools that will allow readers to improve their qualitative data collection. We acknowledge that different disciplines often speak about these research methods in different terms. For example, while some disciplines and professions may use the term "active data collection," these materials use the terms more traditionally associated with qualitative research.
