Este manual está diseñado para enseñar a personas con discapacidad a entrenar a sus propios perros. Puede ser utilizado de manera efectiva por alguien con esclerosis múltiple, artritis, espina bífida, lesión de médula y muchas otras afecciones. Encontrarás los ejercicios clasificados en cuatro categorías: ambulantes (para quienes pueden caminar sin ayuda), ambulante con ayuda técnica (andadores, muletas, bastones), silla de ruedas manual y silla de ruedas eléctrica. Dentro de estas categorías existen muchos grados, por ello, se ha tratado de cubrir la mayor parte de variantes posibles. Los autores son precursores en el adiestramiento en positivo en España. Defienden desde hace más de diez años este sistema de aprendizaje. Los perros aprenden mediante el juego y los refuerzos positivos. Realizan cosas nuevas cada vez buscando el refuerzo.
