Abstract

Nombre d’idées fausses circulent sur les effets des rayonnements non ionisants sur notre santé. Elles conduisent à une simplification excessive, à des amalgames fâcheux ou à une analyse parfois orientée des données. Les effets peuvent être alors exagérés ou plus grave, minimisés. Les auteurs de cet ouvrage (médecins, ingénieurs ou chercheurs) se sont attachés à fournir au public une information scientifique validée, facilement compréhensible et raisonnée sur les champs électromagnétiques et leurs effets biologiques et sanitaires. Après un rappel général sur la physique des ondes et une présentation des rayonnements non ionisants, les auteurs font le point sur les principales sources d’émission rencontrées dans un environnement quotidien. Ils résument simplement, mais le plus fidèlement possible les connaissances actuelles sur leurs effets biologiques et les limites d’exposition recommandées par les organismes internationaux pour pouvoir les utiliser en sécurité. Conçu comme un livre à tiroirs, chacun pourra s’immerger en fonction de sa curiosité et de son niveau de connaissances. Ce n’est ni un catalogue exhaustif de toutes les études faites à ce jour, ni une réduction de l’état des connaissances à quelques études choisies. L’objectif n’est pas non plus de présenter toutes les sources de rayonnements non ionisants. Le lecteur intéressé pourra s’il le souhaite, approfondir ses connaissances en consultant les sélections bibliographiques présentées par les auteurs à la fin de chaque chapitre.

Electrophoresis has been around for more than a century as a phenomenon in electrokinetics. Field effect electroosmosis is a novel phenomenon in electrokinetics that adds a new dimension in capillary electrophoresis. Abstract

This book is dedicated to the interaction of electromagnetic wave radiation in matter, such as the wave propagation in a plasmonic and conductive state, that are dispersive media. The different measurement methods of electrical properties of soils have been studied using several applications. The experimental results of the thermoelectric properties of a chalcogenide system and the electrical conductivity of molten salts and ionic conduction in electrolyte solutions are discussed. The application of an electric field impulse and its influence on the immune responses of animals by increasing different elements of the immune response is discussed. The electromagnetic radiation transmission through skin samples of pigs of different ages have been measured in order to understand the process of absorption and conversion. The methods and results are covered in the book.
