Abstract

The Bulletin of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences began publication in January 1948 as the Academy's newsletter and magazine. Size, format, and frequency of publication varied over the years. As of the Fall 2000 issue it is issued quarterly; beginning in 2004, the Fall issue serves as the Academy's annual report. The Bulletin includes announcements of meetings and events; reports and presentations from Stated Meetings and campus-based meetings; nomination and election information for members; updates on Academy projects and studies; and information on member activities, publications, awards, and prizes.

Abstract

The Journal of Economic History is devoted to the interdisciplinary study of history and economics, and is of interest to economic historians, social and demographic historians, and economists in general. The journal has broad coverage, in both method and geographic scope. Topics examined include money and banking, trade, manufacturing, technology, transportation, industrial organisation, labour, agriculture, servitude, demography, education, economic growth, and the role of government and regulation.
