Prenant acte du changement de paradigme introduit par les théories contemporaines sur la fiction, ce volume revisite la notion de personnage, dans une perspective trans-séculaire et transgénérique, qui prend aussi en compte le cinéma, l'opéra et la danse. L'accent a été mis sur les modalités concrètes de la fabrique du personnage à travers ses conditions d'existence à une époque donnée, selon les normes en vigueur, ou grâce à une confrontation entre différents domaines artistiques : comment plusieurs arts, ou formes d'expression, inter-agissent-ils dans l'élaboration, l'altération, voire la dissolution du personnage ? La plupart des contributions réactualisent en outre des questions longtemps écartées par la narratologie structurale et la sémiologie barthésienne sur le statut du personnage, sa capacité à "sortir du papier", à émigrer d'une œuvre à l'autre, à susciter des processus d'identification empathique, à habiter des mondes possibles.

This volume aims to take the pulse of the changes taking place in the thriving field of Audiovisual Translation and to offer new insights into both theoretical and practical issues.
