Comment établir des conclusions fiables à partir de données qualitatives ? Quelles méthodes d'analyse utiliser qui soient à la fois pratiques, communicables et objectives ? Cet ouvrage rassemble de manière cohérente et progressive un ensemble d'outils efficaces, encourage leur utilisation et surtout, leur perfectionnement. La démarche est aussi directe et concrète que possible. Chaque chapitre débute par une réflexion sur des méthodes spécifiques. Pour chacune des méthodes proposées, des illustrations sont présentées, assez détaillées pour permettre au lecteur d'en comprendre le fonctionnement, de les mettre en pratique et de les adapter au cours de travaux ultérieurs, l'accent est mis sur les modes de présentation des données, tels les matrices, les diagrammes, les graphiques ou les tableaux, qui ignorent les limites du texte narratif. L'ordre chronologique des étapes d'une recherche qualitative est, dans son ensemble, respecté : l'élaboration d'une conceptualisation et d'un canevas de recherche initiale favorise le recueil des données, la codification, l'élaboration d'innombrables formats de présentation, l'émission de conclusions et la réalisation d'un rapport. À l'application systématique et scrupuleuse des méthodes suggérées doivent être préférées la création, la vérification et la révision des méthodes d'analyse. Cet ouvrage, traitant de méthodologie de recherche, tend à préciser la nature et les enjeux de la recherche création ainsi que le territoire qu’elle occupe en recherche systématique. Many years have passed since the last edition of the present book was published. The discovery during this period of many new reagents has resulted in a vast accumulation of data on their application and made this completely revised edition necessary. Numerous new tests and various new chapters have been added. Chapters 3,4 and 5 of the fifth edition have been combined into one chapter, which is divided into sections devoted to the elements. These sections are arranged in alphabetical order to make for easier location of information on a given element. To further improve the usefulness of the volume, a reference list has been provided for each sub-section followed by a biography of the appropriate quantitative methods.
