The Torcy Junior High School is located on the outskirts of the new town of Marne la Vallée in the Paris suburbs, between a motorway and a stretch of ordinary countryside on a site overlooking a small lake. Special attention was paid to its geographic setting and to the various aspects of its environment, from its integration into the surrounding landscape to the design of its interior space. This awareness of the school's environment is matched by the high quality of the construction and careful attention to details.

L'étude des écoles primaires d'une petite ville portugaise offre, plus largement, un aperçu de l'évolution des établissements scolaires en général. Ces bâtiments publics présentent en effet de nombreuses spécificités. L'observation de quatre des six écoles primaires de la ville de Caldas da Rainha montre à quel point ces bâtiments ont évolué, tout en permettant de mieux comprendre ce qu'ils représentent pour la communauté locale, mais aussi la façon dont leur architecture a évolué au fil des ans, au rythme des nouveaux concepts scolaires, notamment en réponse à l'exigence accrue de flexibilité.

La pubblicazione documenta gli esiti dei tre corsi di Laboratorio di Progettazione architettonica del II anno del Corso di Laurea Triennale in Scienze dell'Architettura del Dipartimento di Architettura della Università di Napoli "Federico II" tenuti durante l'anno accademico 2021/22. I tre ateliers hanno assunto come tema d'anno la costruzione di un edificio scolastico all'interno dei quartieri di edilizia residenziale moderna nella periferia della città di Napoli. In particolare, il corso A - prof. Federica Visconti - ha lavorato sul Rione Luzzatti a Poggioreale e sui quartieri di Barra (Rione d'Azeglio, Rione Cavour e Parco Azzurro) e i corsi B e C - rispettivamente prof. Anna Maria Puleo e prof. Tommaso Fantini - si sono concentrati solo sul Rione Luzzatti condividendo l'obiettivo di conoscere i principi insediativi dell'esistente per progettare Spazi della formazione. Assunte queste premesse, il volume non si limita ad essere una semplice collazione dei progetti degli allievi ma ambisce ad offrire a tutta la comunità accademica (e non solo) una ulteriore condizione di possibilità del confronto. The book is about the outcomes of the three second year Architectural Design Studios of the Bachelor degree course in Science of Architecture of the Department of Architecture of the Federico II University of Naples held during the academic year 2021/22. The three ateliers took as their year theme, the construction of a school building within the modern housing quarters in the suburbs of the city of Naples. In particular, Course A - Prof. Federica Visconti - worked on Rione Luzzatti in Poggioreale and the Barra quarters (Rione d'Azeglio, Rione Cavour and Parco Azzurro), and Courses B and C - Prof. Anna Maria Puleo and Prof. Tommaso Fantini, respectively - focused only on Rione Luzzatti sharing the goal of knowing the settlement principles of the existing in order to design Spaces of Education. On the basis of these premises, the book is not limited to being a simple collection of students' projects but aspires to offer the entire academic community (and not only) an additional condition of possibility of comparison.

Grâce au soutien financier du Fonds Européen de Développement Régional (FEDER) (Programme 2009- 2013) et d'autres dispositifs de financement italiens, la région de Campanie a lancé un projet visant à améliorer la qualité de ses bâtiments scolaires, en partenariat avec le centre de recherche CISEM de Milan1. Le budget total de ce « projet sur la qualité de l'environnement éducatif » s'élève à près de 600 millions d'euros. La région de Campanie s'est engagée à allouer aux municipalités et aux provinces les fonds nécessaires aux travaux de construction et à l'installation de nouveaux équipements.
