The book prepared by students, working under tutorship of their teachers, from three Polish high schools, on the theme of Classical Antiquity and Nature, within the Our Mythical Childhood Project. Texts: Teachers and Students from the Schools involved in the Project: Janusz Ryba and the Students from Bartłomiej Nowodworski I High School in Kraków, Barbara Strycharczyk, Agata Płotczyk, Anna Łukomska, and the Students from "Strumienie" High School in Józefów, Anna Wojciechowska and the Students from Mikołaj Rej XI High School in Warsaw, and Katarzyna Marciniak, Faculty of "Artes Liberales", University of Warsaw. The publication appears in the series "OBTA Studies in Classical Reception" - as already the second volume in the educational cycle ("Educational Materials"), after "De viris mulieribusque illustribus", prepared in 2019 by the students participating in the Our Mythical History stage. Both volumes are in dialogue with each other by showing the interests of the young people and by pointing to the chances offered by an education in the spirit of artes liberales with the method of interdisciplinary team projects. This volume is in a dialogue also with other elements of the Our Mythical Childhood programme: the third edition of the video competition for elementary and high-school students "Antiquity-Camera-Action!", dedicated to the theme of ecology, and with the conference summing up the Nature stage. Presented at the conference Our Mythical History: Children's and Young Adults' Culture in Response to the Heritage of Ancient Greece and Rome May 22-26, 2019. A close collaboration with schools has been a crucial element and a source of joy to all the people involved in our activities from the very beginning of the Our Mythical Childhood programme. [...] it was only natural to us to consolidate our efforts with support from the ERC Consolidator Grant. [...] All four schools ["Strumienie" High School in Józefów, Mikołaj Rej XI High School in Warsaw, Nicolaus Copernicus University Academic Junior and Senior High School in Toruń, and Bartłomiej Nowodworski I High School in Cracow] accepted the challenge of presenting four important figures from Polish history who were well versed in the classical tradition and whose lives may serve as biographies of, indeed, the illustres. [...] Besides the educational value of the texts gathered in the present book, there is something of a similar, if not major, importance - namely, the brightness and the light of optimism that this task brings to the worldwide discussions on the crisis in education. Rational thinking as exemplified in mathematical cognition is immensely important in the modern world. This book documents how a group of three eighth-grade girls developed specific group practices typical of such thinking in an online educational experience. A longitudinal case study tracks the team through eight hour-long sessions, following the students' meaning-making processes through their mutual chat responses preserved in computer logs coordinated with their geometric actions. The examination of data focuses on key areas of the team's development: its effective team collaboration, its productive mathematical discourse, its enacted use of dynamic-geometry tools, and its ability to identify and construct dynamic-geometry dependencies. This detailed study of group cognition serves as a paradigmatic example of computer-supported collaborative learning, incorporating a unique model of human-computer interaction analysis applied to the use of innovative educational technology. A valuable resource for researchers, instructors, and students alike, it offers concrete suggestions for improving educational practice.

Adventure-based programs have become prevailing in the schools in Hong Kong. Due to the little empirical examination to the frequent use of experiential education, Chung Kwan Ackie Cheung uses mixed methods to establish its first phenomenal picture, addressing the scale of the use of experiential education and the impact of it on adolescents’ development with regard to the globalizing phenomenon of Hong Kong. The findings show that experiential education, esp. adventure-based program, has been widely-spread and there is positive impact in the specified aspects self-concept, self-efficacy, learning climate and spiritual dimension of its adolescent learners.
