Quelle formation grammaticale pour de futurs traducteurs ? L'objectif de l’ouvrage est de problématiser une pratique très répandue dans les programmes de formation mais peu interrogée jusqu’ici, à savoir l’enseignement de la grammaire aux traducteurs. La réflexion des auteurs s’est construite autour de quatre thématiques : l’enseignement grammatical vu par les traducteurs/traductologues ; les théories linguistiques et leur adéquation tant au processus de traduction qu’aux besoins des étudiants ; l’enseignement grammatical dans les classes ; les relations entre didactique des langues et didactique de la traduction. Un chapitre introductif met en perspective ces quatre thématiques et suggère quelques pistes concrètes de réflexion tout en discutant, de manière plus générale, les nombreux enjeux soulevés par la problématique

Among the countless themes in language studies on which Pierre Swiggers has worked and published, linguistic historiography undoubtedly stands out. In this subdiscipline of language studies, he has acted as a true architect and maitre d'oeuvre. For this reason, the editors have chosen "the architecture of grammar" as the guiding theme of this volume in his honor. Opening with a preface and general introduction, the book brings together contributions pertaining to this general theme, ranging from antiquity to the present day, and closes with the bibliography of the honoratus.
