Abstract

Das Projekt MINT (Modellgetriebene Integration von Informationssystemen) beschäftigt sich mit der Entwicklung von Methoden zur Umsetzung modellgetriebener Ansätze, wie z. B. der Model Driven Architecture (MDA) der Object Management Group (OMG), im Bereich der Integration von betrieblichen Informationssystemen. Dabei werden sowohl die Integration von Legacy Systemen in moderne Umgebungen als auch die Integration von Individualsoftware in einen Standardsoftware-Kontext berücksichtigt.

Abstract

Abstract

Die bisherigen Realisierungen von Netzausgleichungs- und Deformationsanalysealgorithmen in operationellen Softwaresystemen sind meist nur Insellösungen, die sich schlecht erweitern lassen und einen hohen Wartungsaufwand erfordern.Im vorliegenden Buch wird gezeigt, wie durch Anwendung von aktuellen Forschungsergebnissen aus der Informatik eine höhere Flexibilität bei geodätischen Softwarelösungen erreicht und ein durchgängiger Datenfluss von der Datenerfassung, über die Aufbereitung der Messungen, die Netzausgleichung und die Deformationsanalyse bis hin zur Visualisierung realisiert werden kann. Dazu wurde ein komplexes Klassenmodell, das weite Teile der Ingenieurgeodäsie modelliert und ein komplettes Vermessungsprojekt abbilden kann, aufgestellt.Im Bereich der Netzausgleichung liegt der Schwerpunkt auf der Entwicklung eines Lösungsansatzes zur allgemeinen Formulierung von Beobachtungsgleichungen und zur sinnvollen Integration der statistischen Test in das Klassenmodell. Die Algorithmen der Deformationsanalyse werden in Modelle eingeteilt, die eine Standardisierung der entsprechenden Schnittstellen ermöglichen, um so den Grundsätzen der Flexibilität und leichten Erweiterung gerecht zu werden.

Abstract

The interdisciplinary analysis examines machine learning (ML) frameworks used in AI development and gives practical answers to copyright issues arising in this matter. A special focus lies on database protection of ML models. Furthermore, the thesis offers an opinion on text and data mining restrictions in the AI context. Regarding the production of potentially copyrightable works by means of ML, the author discusses the issue of copyright attribution, suggests a solution, and proposes a flow chart to identify the author in various scenarios. In view of a potentially increasing autonomy of AI, an introduction to the interconnection of the concepts of intelligence, creativity and Computational Creativity is provided. Die interdisziplinäre Analyse nimmt konkreten Bezug zu in der KI-Entwicklung eingesetzten Machine Learning (ML)-Frameworks und gibt praxisrelevante Antworten auf damit zusammenhängende urheberrechtliche Fragen. Insbesondere der Datenbank(werk)schutz für ML-Modelle steht dabei im Fokus. Die Arbeit bietet außerdem eine Einschätzung der Relevanz von Text und Data Mining-Schranken im KI-Kontext. Mit Blick auf die Erzeugung von Werken durch bzw. mithilfe von ML wird die Zurechnungsproblematik erörtert, eine Lösung vorgeschlagen und eine Hilfestellung zur Ermittlung eines Urhebers angeboten. Darüber hinaus erfolgt hinsichtlich etwaiger KI-Autonomie eine Einführung in die Zusammenhänge von Intelligenz, Kreativität und Computational Creativity.

Abstract

Model transformations, together with models, form the principal artifacts in model-driven software development. Industrial practitioners report that transformations on larger models quickly get sufficiently large and complex themselves. To alleviate entailed maintenance efforts, this thesis presents a modularity concept with explicit interfaces, complemented by software visualization and clustering techniques. All three approaches are tailored to the specific needs of the transformation domain.

Abstract

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Web Engineering, ICWE 2013, held in Aalborg, Denmark, in July 2013. The 21 full research papers, 4 industry papers, and 11 short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 92 submissions. The scientific program was completed with 7 workshops, 6 demonstrations and posters. The papers cover a wide spectrum of topics, such as, among others: web mining and knowledge extraction, semantic and linked data management, crawling and web research, model-driven web engineering, component-based web engineering, Rich Internet Applications (RIAs) and client-side programming, web services, and end-user development.

Abstract

Control system design is a challenging task for practicing engineers. It requires knowledge of different engineering fields, a good understanding of technical specifications and good communication skills. The current book introduces the reader into practical control system design, bridging  the gap between theory and practice.  The control design techniques presented in the book are all model based., considering the needs and possibilities of practicing engineers. Classical control design techniques are reviewed and methods are presented how to verify the robustness of the design. Abstract

Born after World War II, large-scale experimental high-energy physics (HEP) has found itself limited ever since by available accelerator, detector and computing technologies. Accordingly, HEP has made significant contributions to the development of these fields, more often than not driving their innovations. The invention of the World Wide Web at CERN is merely the best-known example out of many. This book is the first comprehensive account to trace the history of this pioneering spirit in the field of computing technologies. It covers everything up to and including the present-day handling of the huge demands imposed upon grid and distributed computing by full-scale LHC operations - operations which have for years involved many thousands of collaborating members worldwide and accordingly provide the original and natural testbed for grid computing concepts.
