Der vorliegende Band vereinigt die Referate des am 30.11.2012 veranstalteten 11. Göttinger Workshops zum Familienrecht. Er hatte die Herausforderungen des Erwachsenenschutzrechts und die aktuellen Vorschläge zur Reform des deutschen Betreuungsrechts zum Gegenstand. Die Beiträge befassen sich mit den Vorgaben der UN-Behindertenrechtskonvention und den Entwicklungen des Erwachsenenschutzrechts aus rechtsvergleichender und nationaler Perspektive. Darüber hinaus werden die aktuellen Vorschläge zur Reform des Betreuungsrechts in diesem Band umfassend dokumentiert und aus fachkundiger Perspektive kommentiert. Der Band wird daher in der aktuellen Reformdiskussion eine unentbehrliche Arbeitshilfe sein und soll zugleich weiterführende Perspektiven eröffnen. Band 14 der Reihe „Göttinger Juristische Schriften“. Die Reihe wird von der Juristischen Fakultät der Georg-August-Universität herausgegeben und macht Veranstaltungen an der Fakultät einer interessierten Öffentlichkeit zugänglich.

The Training Guide is for facilitators of training courses on the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and its Optional Protocol who are already familiar with the international human rights system. The Convention challenges customs and behaviour based on stereotypes, prejudices, harmful practices and stigma relating to persons with disabilities, and promotes their full participation in all spheres of life. It is already applicable in 137 countries around the world. The Training Guide’s methodology is interactive and promotes a participatory approach. Its modules can be used to develop tailored training courses to meet the needs of specific audiences (government officials, health professionals, civil society, employers’ organizations, etc.). It is also helpful as a general information resource on the Convention and its Optional Protocol.
