CheckMarket is een Belgische ASP die klanten toelaat om snel, veilig en accuraat online enquêtes te maken, versturen en analyseren. Dat hele proces gebeurt via hun website: www.checkmarket.com . Omdat die website erg uitgebreid is en tal van mogelijkheden biedt, is het voor veel mensen niet altijd even duidelijk hoe ermee moet gewerkt worden. Daarom is er een degelijk support-afdeling voorzien die ik tijdens mijn stage verder moest uitbreiden. Zo ontwikkelde ik een taalonafhankelijke knowledgebase en een sitemap die zich dynamisch aanpast aan de veranderingen op de site. In dit eindwerk wordt beschreven hoe ik tewerk ging en welke technieken en programma's daarvoor gebruikt werden.

Heel wat fungi in Vlaanderen blijken uitgestorven te zijn of worden bedreigd. De mate van voorkomen kan best ingeschat worden door een vergelijking te maken van actuele en historische gegevens. In het kader van het Paddestoelenproject in Vlaams-Brabant zijn er twee bosgebieden geselecteerd, n.l. het Charteuzenbos en het Hallerbos. Deze gebieden zijn al meerdere malen geïnventariseerd en hebben hetzelfde vegetatietype, voornamelijk Beuk (Fagus). Van deze gebieden wordt er een mycologische vergelijking gemaakt. In de geselecteerde gebieden werden alle macrofungi op naam gebracht. Dit gebeurde veelal onder begeleiding van Roosmarijn Steeman en/of Hans Vermeulen. Deze laatste zijn determinatie- en snelsleutels werden steeds gebruikt. Voor de mycologische vergelijking werden alle soorten hun functionele ecologische groepen, Rode Lijst en uurhokfrequentie nagegaan. Voor de Rode Lijst werd er gebruik gemaakt van de Nederlandse Rode Lijst omdat deze van Vlaanderen niet volledig is. Aan de hand

In dit eindwerk beschrijf ik het transport van gevaarlijke chemicaliën bij Acros Organics. Hierbij heb ik getracht een beeld te schetsen van de manier van werken binnen het bedrijf en hun behandeling van de gevaarlijke goederen volgens de richtlijnen van de geldende gevarenreglementeringen. In hoofdstuk 1 wordt een voorstelling van Acros Organics gegeven. Om een goed zicht te krijgen over heel de goederenstroom bij Acros Organics wordt in hoofdstuk 2 heel de flow besproken. We kunnen geen gevaarlijke goederen veilig en efficiënt vervoeren zonder een doordachte gevarenreglementering . Daarom wordt in hoofdstuk 3 deze vanuit praktisch standpunt beschreven. Het voorbereiden van de zending en opmaken van de documenten wordt in hoofdstuk 4 uitgelegd met aandacht voor de specifieke database die deze gespecialiseerde materie op een snelle en doordachte manier verwerkt. Uiteraard worden ook hier de belangrijkste documenten wat nader bekeken.

This volume deals with the pressing issue of uncertainty in archaeological modeling. Detecting where and when uncertainty is introduced to the modeling process is critical, as are strategies for minimizing, reconciling, or accommodating such uncertainty. Included chapters provide unique perspectives on uncertainty in archaeological modeling, ranging in both theoretical and methodological orientation. The strengths and weaknesses of various identification and mitigation techniques are discussed, in particular sensitivity analysis. The chapters demonstrate that for archaeological modeling purposes, there is no quick fix for uncertainty; indeed, each archaeological model requires intensive consideration of uncertainty and specific applications for calibration and validation. As very few such techniques have been problematized in a systematic manner or published in the archaeological literature, this volume aims to provide guidance and direction to other modelers in the field by distilling some basic principles for model testing derived from insight gathered in the case studies presented. Additionally, model applications and their attendant uncertainties are presented from distinct spatio-temporal contexts and will appeal to a broad range of archaeological modelers. This volume will also be of interest to non-modeling archaeologists, as consideration of uncertainty when interpreting the archaeological record is also a vital concern for the development of non-formal (or implicit) models of human behavior in the past. .
