Aristotelova Druga analitika, eno izmed del, ki tvorijo sklop njegovih logiških spisov, imenovan Organon, velja v dolgi tradiciji evropske misli za prvo fokusirano razmišljanje s področja teorije in filozofije znanosti. Če je Prva analitika postregla z analizo silogizma kot obliko logičnega sklepanja, se je v njenem »nadaljevanju« Aristotel soočil z vprašanjem, kako slednje uporabiti v znanosti (epistēmē) in ga povezal s tem, kdaj kaj vemo in kakšni so pogoji za njen obstoj. Pri tem izhaja iz stališča, da kaj vemo takrat, ko vemo, zakaj je tisto, kar vemo, nujno takšno~razlago razume kot dokaz o tem. Ta ima zato strukturo sklepanja, osrednja vprašanja v Drugi analitiki pa so zato povezana z opredelitvami znanosti oz. znanstvenega razumevanja, dokaza, definicije in npr. vzročnosti. Delo, napisano z nezgrešljivo natančnostjo in »analitičnostjo« antičnega filozofskega velemojstra, v slovenski prostor vnaša potrebno svežino dragocene zgodovinske perspektive za vse, ki se ukvarjajo s področji epistemologije, logike ali npr. znanstvene metodologije.

The importance of evapotranspiration is well-established in different disciplines such as hydrology, agronomy, climatology, and other geosciences. Reliable estimates of evapotranspiration are also vital to develop criteria for in-season irrigation management, water resource allocation, long-term estimates of water supply, demand and use, design and management of water resources infrastructure, and evaluation of the effect of land use and management changes on the water balance. The objective of this Special Issue is to define and discuss several ET terms, including potential, reference, and actual (crop) ET, and present a wide spectrum of innovative research papers and case studies.

The work Peri hermeneias (On Interpretation) occupies an important place among Aristotle’s logical writings, but in many places, it is hard to understand. The aim of this bilingual edition is to facilitate understanding for a modern reader interested in Aristotelian philosophy and the history of logic through explanatory notes on the text. Thema der Schrift Peri hermeneias (De interpretatione) ist der einfache Aussage- oder Behauptungssatz in seiner Eigenschaft, entweder wahr oder falsch zu sein. Die zu dieser Satzart gehörenden Sätze werden von Aristoteles zwar auch unter dem Aspekt ihres syntaktischen Aufbaus behandelt, hauptsächlich aber am Leitfaden der Frage nach ihrem Wahrheitswert und den zwischen ihnen bestehenden logischen Beziehungen untersucht. Als die Lehrschriften des Aristoteles im ersten vorchristlichen Jahrhundert aus dessen Nachlass herausgegeben und dabei in verschiedene Gruppen thematisch zusammengehörender Abhandlungen gegliedert wurden, hat man die Schrift Peri hermeneias daher einem Organon genannten Komplex von Schriften zugeordnet, die man als logische Abhandlungen einstufte. Die vorliegende zweisprachige Ausgabe enthält den griechischen Text, den der Verfasser in der Bibliotheca Teubneriana kritisch ediert hat, und die deutsche Übersetzung des von ihm bearbeiteten Bandes der Deutschen Aristoteles-Gesamtausgabe. Auf dem Kommentar, der in diesem Band die Übersetzung begleitet, beruhen im wesentlichen die den übersetzten Text erläuternden Anmerkungen der vorliegenden Ausgabe.
